This is your chance to experience life as a racehorse owner, with all ownership costs covered for the initial syndicate period  (up to May 2028).

The prize

The winner will receive a fully funded 1% ownership share in Boombox for the duration of the initial syndicate period, which includes the following benefits during that period:

• A pro-rata share of any owners’ prize money earned 

• Opportunities to apply for an owners’ badge when Boombox races

• Organised visits to see Boombox

• Regular trainer updates, schooling footage and gallop videos

• Access to the owners’ private WhatsApp group

• A pro-rata share of applicable net sale proceeds, subject to the competition and syndicate terms

Boombox Competition - Specific Terms and Conditions

These terms apply in addition to the general OLBG Prizes terms and conditions. If there is any conflict concerning this competition or its prize, these competition-specific terms will apply.

1. Eligibility

By entering, participants confirm that they satisfy all eligibility requirements contained in the general OLBG Prizes terms and conditions and these competition-specific terms.

The competition is not open to anyone who:

a. is currently warned off, disqualified, suspended or otherwise excluded from participating in horseracing under the Rules of Racing of the British Horseracing Authority;

b. is prohibited from entering racecourses, racing stables or licensed training establishments; or

c. would be ineligible to become a member of the Boombox syndicate under the Rules of Racing or the applicable syndicate agreement.

OLBG reserves the right to verify an entrant’s eligibility and to disqualify anyone who does not satisfy these requirements.

2. The prize

One winner will receive a fully funded 1% share in Boombox for the remainder of the initial syndicate period, which is due to end in May 2028 (but may end earlier subject to the terms and conditions of the syndicate agreement).

The prize has a maximum value of £2,495 and includes:

• The full upfront cost of the 1% share

• All monthly ownership costs falling due under the syndicate agreement until the end of the initial syndicate term

The winner will receive the same rights and benefits as other owners holding a 1% share in the syndicate, including:

• Participation in distributions of owners’ prize money in accordance with the syndicate agreement

• Participation in distributions of applicable net sale proceeds in accordance with the syndicate agreement

• Access to the updates, communications and ownership experiences made available to syndicate members

The prize is subject to the terms of the Boombox syndicate agreement in force when the prize is awarded. Further information about Boombox and the syndicate is available on the OLBG Racing Syndicates page.

Racehorse ownership involves risk and should be entered into purely for entertainment purposes, not investment. Boombox’s racing performance, participation in any particular race, prize money and sale value are not guaranteed.

3. Prize restrictions

No cash alternative is available.

The prize may not be sold, transferred, assigned or exchanged.

Acceptance of the prize is conditional upon the winner:

• Being eligible to become a member of the Boombox syndicate

• Agreeing to the terms of the applicable syndicate agreement

• Providing any information reasonably required by OLBG, the British Horseracing Authority or another relevant authority to facilitate syndicate membership

If the winner is ineligible, declines the prize, cannot be contacted, does not enter into the syndicate agreement or fails to provide the required information within the period specified by OLBG, OLBG reserves the right to select an alternative winner in accordance with the general OLBG Prizes terms and conditions.
